Cover Reveal for Lost in Indigo (Colors of Love #1)

I just LOVE this amazing cover by Designs by Sloan for Lost in Indigo, the first book in my new Colors of Love series! Isn't it simply to die for?

I'm super excited about the Colors of Love novels. This series will be comprised of stand-alone gay hockey romance novels that will cover a wide variety of tropes such as May/December, Bi-for-You, second chances, and opposites attract just to name a few. Each book will, as all of my stories do, deal with social issues, team dynamics,  and personal growth all sprinkled heavily with lots of lusty romance!

Release date - 7/10 (There will be no preorder for this book)

#MM #Gay #Genderflux #MayDecember #Hockey #Romance

You can now add Mat and Indigo's book to your Goodreads shelves -

Mathieu Beresford was so close to seeing his dream come true.

The thirty-eight-year-old captain of the Buffalo Surge had led his team to the final round of the playoffs with his aggressive defensive play and leadership. During the first game of the championship series, he was taken down, and his leg snapped upon impact with the boards. From his hospital bed, Mathieu watched his team go on to win it all.

Adrift in anger, resentment, and the new direction of his life, he returns to his mansion along the St. Lawrence River. Alone and sulking, Mathieu is not prepared for Indigo Neu to enter his life. The genderflux twenty-year-old botany major signs on to play nursemaid, confidant, and groundskeeper over the summer and slowly leads Mathieu out of his confusion––one tender smile and touch at a time.

The deeper Mathieu falls, the more he wonders if being lost might not be so bad after all.

Tuesday Tales - Naked

It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

Today we have an excerpt from Ryker, Owatonna U. Hockey #1, a new adult MM hockey romance novel I’m coauthoring with RJ Scott. Our word today is “Naked”.

In our snippet today, Ryker and Jacob are having spending some down time in their room at conditioning camp in Canada. This excerpt is from Jacob’s POV.

This story may have gay erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and mature language. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!

I could feel his gaze on me. Oddly enough, I was now getting used to it. In truth, when he wasn’t studying me like some new exotic species of bug the scientific community had just discovered, something inside me began searching for his attention, wondering where it was and why he wasn’t looking at me. It was moronic and confusing and made me mad and edgy. Yet, even as the tumbling mosh of conflicting emotions mowed me down like standing hay, I glanced up from my text book to find Ryker smiling softly at me.

“What?”

He threw his feet from his bed, put his elbows to his knees, and smiled even wider, his eyes glowing and intense yet utterly beautiful.

“You remind me of the first guy I ever kissed. He used to do that tongue between the teeth thing that you do when you’re concentrating.”

I had no reply to that. If the man had hit me in the face with a brick I would have been less stunned.

“You’re gay?” I asked, my book sort of sliding from my lap to the bed then closing.

When he shook his head all that thick hair slithered back and forth, the sun making it shine. Must be that fancy shampoo he used.

“Bi, pretty sure I’m bi.”

I had to make some spit then quickly swallow it. All this time I’d shoved the lust down deep because Ryker Madsen had to be straight. He had to be otherwise the sex dreams I’d been having for the past four nights might have a slim chance of coming true.

“So you don’t know?”

He sat up straight and lifted a shoulder. “I mean, yeah, I know. I think.” He hit me with a quirky smile, one that I’d seen him flash a hundred times over the past couple of weeks, mostly at girls. “It’s not so easy finding out who you are sexually, is it?”

“It was for me.” I grabbed my book, found my page, and read the same line ten times before the silence compelled me to speak. He was sitting there, working that smile, waiting, the thin strap of his tank top resting on his bicep, baring the left side of his neck and shoulder. It was driving me fucking nuts seeing that span of skin so exposed. Seeing him naked was all I could think about. I laid my book over my dick, hoping it would hide the raging hard-on. “I knew I was gay when I was twelve.”

“That’s cool.” Our gazes locked over the two feet of distance between his bed and mine. “If you’re willing, can I tell you something personal?”

Fuck. Shit fuck, no, do not tell me that you want to crawl into my bed and let me peel you out of that dusky blue Railers tank because…well, just don’t.

I nodded since talking was not recommended right now. God knows what sort of stupid would flow out of me.

Tuesday Tales - Picture Prompt

It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

Today we have an excerpt from Ryker, Owatonna U. Hockey #1, a new adult MM hockey romance novel I’m coauthoring with RJ Scott.

This week is a picture prompt week, which means all excerpts must be 300 words or under and they must reflect our chosen image in some manner. This snippet takes place after Ryker and Jacob have met at a summer conditioning camp. The two young men have started having some serious feelings for each other but it’s the last day of camp and they’re now faced with never seeing each other again. This excerpt is from Jacob’s point of view.

This story may have gay erotic scenes, strong social issues addressed and mature language. If those things offend now is the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales blog. Thanks for stopping by!

The last day at camp all the Eagles decided we had to do breakfast at this quaint little coffee shop in town. Why? I had no clue until Ryker and I shuffled in, the beautiful morning pretty dull for us despite the brilliant blue sky, the birds singing, and the puffy white clouds overhead. We had two hours left until we went our separate ways and despite how I’d promised myself this little thing was just for sex, not waking up to hear him chattering away or see him spread out on his bed, hair all tangled from sleep or sex or both…it was going to suck.

Right, so enough about what was coming in two hours, Jacob.

The coffee shop had fresh baked muffins so big you needed two hands to hold them. Also, the staff was made up of cute girls in little green aprons who flirted with the team.

I flopped down next to Ben who was attacking a blueberry muffin the size of a soccer ball, his eyes dropping shut in sheer bliss.

“I missed this kind of food,” he sighed around his mouthful of empty calories. We’d done nothing but eat healthy for a month, and while that had shown up in a toner body and more energy, I could not deny that I was this close to drooling over the coffeecake muffin Ryker placed in front of me, along with a massive mug of hot coffee, black with sugar.

We ate, we talked, we made jokes, we drank coffee and said goodbye to the guys. Ryker shook every hand of every Eagle, promising to stay in touch, exchanging phone numbers and social media information. I waited on the sidewalk, hands in my front pockets, eyes on my old sneakers, for him to stop being so personable and well-liked, but he never did stop being Ryker. And I kind of liked that about him.

Release Day - Overtime, Cayuga Cougars #4

Today is release day for Overtime, Cayuga Cougars #4! I am so excited to be able to bring you the next book in the Cougars series. Sander, Mateo, and Noah are some of the strongest and most loving men I’ve had the pleasure of writing. I hope you enjoy their story.

 #PolyAm #Hockey #Romance

(Amazon and other links coming soon)

Sander March is one season away from the pros, or so everyone tells him.

If only Sander had as much faith in his ability as the Cougar coaching staff does. Outwardly, he’s cocksure, borderline bitter, and slightly sarcastic. All that strut and sass hides a wounded soul though. Working to hide a brutal past filled with humiliation, abuse, and a family member who still haunts him, Sander has never found the kind of comfort and understanding he so desperately needs. Until he meets Mateo Castillo, a minor league baseball player for the nearby Elmira Egrets. Mateo and Sander click instantly, and a budding friendship develops between the two athletes.
Mateo then introduces Sander to his boyfriend, Noah Coombs, an aspiring manga comic creator. The three men find themselves bonding strongly, and that slowly gives way to sexual attraction. Eventually, Mateo and Noah invite Sander into their relationship. The path to happiness isn’t going to be easy for Sander as he faces criticism from his friends, teammates, and the press for his choices. The brash young star can handle all that, it’s when his abuser shows up in Cayuga that Sander fears not only for his own safety, but for the lives of the two men he has grown to love. Will Sander’s past tear him away from Mateo and Noah, or will he be able to leave the darkness behind?

Warning – This story has disturbing subject matter.

Excerpt:

“Right, okay, so about the photo shoot—”
Mat kind of blundered into what I was going to say, his color high. “No, man, don’t apologize for that, okay? It was…it was…” He shoved his long fingers through his curls. “It was no one’s fault. We don’t want you to feel bad about it.”
I could feel the heat in my cheeks as well. “It was just like—this thing. Right?”
“Right, yeah. A thing. And not really a bad thing. I mean, we don’t think it was totally bad. Do you?” Mat asked, his boyfriend peering around his shoulder.
“I, uh…you don’t think it was skanky of me?”
“No, no way,” Noah said then started nibbling on the neck of his sweater. My eyes flared a bit to hear that.
“Can we all sit down and talk? I think we should talk.” Mat waved a hand at the couch. We fumbled around each other, smiling and looking at our feet, until somehow, we all managed to squeeze our asses onto my rented sofa. “Okay, so, here’s the thing…” Mat began rubbing his palms on his thighs. “Noah and I have been talking about us. And you. And we kind of wanted to talk to you about us. And you.”
“Okay.” I was wedged between them, biceps to biceps and thigh to thigh.
Mat nodded. “See, the thing is that we like you.” His dark eyes lifted from his hands moving on his legs. So sexy those eyes were. Thick dark lashes framing pools of brown that reminded me of grizzly bear fur. “We talked about that. How we both feel drawn to you. Noah, he never asks other men to model for him.” I looked at the blond eating his sweater. His gaze danced from Mat to me then back to Mat.
“That true?” I prodded the artist.
“Yeah,” Noah murmured, his sleek eyebrows knotting up. “I called you.”
“Yeah, man, I know you did. That’s not the norm?” I asked, wanting to slide my arms around Noah and hold him close.
“Not even close,” Mat chimed in, twisting on the sofa to look at me. “And like…we kind of didn’t tell each other about the attraction we had to you because well, I mean, that would mean we didn’t love each other like we thought we did or so we thought. This is confusing.”
I said nothing to that. What could I say? I felt like shit because I’d driven this massive wedge of a problem into their lives because of my initial attraction to Mateo.
“We still love each other,” Noah whispered then laid his hand—which was hidden in the sleeve of his massive pink sweater—on my knee. A jolt sparked through me.
“Right, we do. And we had to talk that all out. I shit you not, we hashed us out for days, until we came to realize that just because we liked you didn’t mean we loved each other less.”
“Okay. So, it’s cool that you guys still love each other because I do not want to be the one who breaks you two up.” I slid my hand up my thigh and rested it on Noah’s. His gaze met mine. “I know how much you love Mat; I can see it.”
He nodded softly. Mat shuffled beside me. I wanted Noah to see into me, so I didn’t look away. I needed Noah to understand that I would never take Mat from him. He was so fragile and shy, and I found myself needing to protect him.
“I know. And I love him. And we like you.” I had to lean in to hear Noah through the thick wool sweater collar covering his lips.
“We do, and we think that maybe we could try seeing how it goes to like you while we love each other,” Mat said and placed his hand on top of the one I had holding Noah’s.
I craned my head around to look at him, to see if this was some kind of bullshit he was feeding me. There was nothing but heat and sincerity in those dark eyes of his.
“What are we saying here?” I asked, my voice a little thick.
“We’re saying that we’re going to leave the door open for you,” Mat replied, giving the two hands under his hand a strong squeeze. “To come in and hang out with us, you know, if you want to?”
I stared at Noah. “This what you want as well?”
He nodded then glanced away. Shit, but this man was working his way into my heart. Generally, I was all about the jocks, like Mat. I got them. Understood them. Related to how aggressive, competitive, and assertive most athletes were. But this man with his timid ways and earthy smile was ticking all kinds of boxes I never even knew I had.
“Cool. Then I’d be happy to come in and hang out with you guys.” I’d been out in the cold for so long…
