Perfect For Her (Book 2, City Lights Series)
Energetic and motivated Angela Carnes landed her dream job in NYC, as an editor for a news show and she loves it.  Her career is going much better than her love life. After a break-up with Mr. Wrong she’s determined to leave the past behind. Angela didn’t expect the best man for her friend’s wedding to be so damn hot. Dr. Eric Bradley has a body to die for, a dynamite personality, and he’s recently partnered with a medical team. What not to want?
Eric is determined to have it all. He graduated from medical school top of his class, bought and renovated a house, and landed a spot in an established family practice. It is finally the time to get back into the dating world, IF the woman he wants sticks around when she learns about his situation at home.
Angela and Eric discover the passion between them during the wedding preparations. Their attraction is hard to deny… Angela finds herself lost in Eric’s passionate embrace. But after the reception everything wilts.
Will she be able to step aside while Eric honors his family obligations or will the lonely nights and broken promises force Angela to leave behind the man she knows is…Perfect For Her?

A day that started out in a frenzy had turned out to be unbelievable. Eric picked up the leather case left by the waiter and signed the bill. Angela’s stomach flipped as she anticipated the rest of the evening. She’d already been wrapped in his arms, and she imagined what it’d be like to go a step further tonight. He brought out a side of her she kept under locks with other men. His sensuality came across loud and clear. The way he moved, his intense stare, and his deep voice, aroused her in a way she hadn’t felt in a long time. Angela couldn’t stop fantasizing about running her fingers along his chest, down to his stomach, and around his muscular thighs. He made her feel sexy, and she enjoyed her erotic daydreams. It usually took her longer to be intimate with a man. She’d been shy and reserved. Maybe it was from being burned by a men in the past. There was no denying her urge to be close to Eric.
“Are you ready to leave?”
She tilted her head and nodded. Angela folded her napkin and stood. Her handsome date got up, put his arm out and reached for her hand.  She loved all of the attention. It felt as if she floated on air. Eric’s strong fingers cradled hers as if it was something they did all the time, and she welcomed the gesture.
“Do you mind?” he asked.
“No, it’s nice.” His touch was gentle and she imagined how it’d feel all over her body. Hoping he didn’t read her mind, she lifted her purse over her shoulder. She’d let him be the one to make the first move and by the way things were going, she had a hunch she’d be in  his arms before their date was over. The evening held the possibility of a romantic involvement with Dr. Eric Bradley and she couldn’t remember when she’d had such strong desires.
“It’s a great night to take a walk. How about it? My car is in a nearby parking lot.” He gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
“I’d like that.”

On her darkest day twelve years ago, she agreed to give her baby up for adoption. On her daughter’s birthday a chance encounter gives Savannah an opportunity to explore a corner of her heart she thought was lost forever.

Rob Sinclair a renowned surgeon and NY Times best-selling author has a new release and needs a promo spot on the television show, The News Stop. When he meets the assertive newswoman, desire and passion awaken his broken spirit. The last thing Savannah wants is a relationship, especially one with a divorced, doctor who happens to have two small children

When Savannah gets to conduct the interview over the senior reporter, a door opens to her future. However, first she must face the unsettled issues in her life, before she is free to accept love. A man, who seems all wrong for her, slowly weaves himself into her heart. Can he accept her when he learns about her past?

Rob’s commitment to climb the ladder of success, keeps him on the road for days at a time.  How will he ever be able to trust another woman?

Savannah and Rob’s strong attraction is undeniable as they journey to a place where honesty and the power of forgiveness, can help heal the scars of the past. Will it be enough to allow them another chance for love?

She got up and slowly moved toward him. Her chest tightened with each step. As she approached him and admired his broad shoulders, it dawned on her he could be a candidate for People’s sexiest man alive. Control yourself.
“I’m happy here,” she admitted. “I love it when the morning light shines on the water and it mimics fine pieces of crystal.”
Rob slowly approached her. His gaze fixed on her, sent shivers from head to toe. Afraid of what might happen next, she turned away. They were too close for comfort. An electric energy surged between them. Before she could stop him, Rob reached for her and pulled her up against his chest. “You’re an amazing woman, Savannah.” His lips met hers and he cradled her head in his hands as if she was a precious jewel. It all happened so quickly, she didn’t have time to react. The warmth of his touch sent waves of heat down her stomach and in between her legs as the world stood still. When Rob’s hands moved slowly across her back, it took her to a level of arousal she never expected. She found herself spellbound by the feel of his rock hard body pressed up against her chest. All of the emotions she’d kept inside emerged when Rob held her
tight. When they finally parted, she stood frozen in shock with her heart pounding and her ears ringing.
His expression made him look as if he broke the law with his eyes practically popping out of his head. He quickly took a step back. “I don’t know what to say. I’m so sorry for my rude behavior.”
“You weren’t rude. I didn’t stop you.”
